Used to catch heaps there mate going back a few years small Barra on lures and plastics plenty of them bream and silver perch and the of trout . Went back ther bit over a year ago and caught nothing in the big ponds ended up behind the store fishing in a pond about ten meters long by 2 meters wide for a few trout when it was good behind the shop had 5 breading ponds that were packed full of fish .Sad realy mate because it used to be a real good day out . Would like to hear also if any one is catching there recently ,

Ok yeah I've fished it twice a couple of years ago and caught nothing they say there's good fish in there but it seems shit which is a shame could be really good aye 

 Yeh they told me the same mate but I swear there's nout in there eitha the fish carnt survive in them lakes for long or there just not stocking them .

Me and my house mate are planning on going down to the ponds this saturday coming.

I am wanting to teach him little bits an bobs about the freshwater fishing sides of things. From the reading above I am getting worried there wont be anything for him there to catch. 

With some luck I hope there will be some fish in there that he can at least get a taste of the sport.

Has anyone been down there over the past few weeks at all? Or would you recommend anywhere else to try similiar to that setup?

Any hints or tips on the place would be much appreciated?

 Best seafood platter for price and taste ever had there at the cafe. But as in fishing, I had fly rod and spinning reel/rod. Nothing at all but dissapointment. 

I actually was under the alusion that I wouls land many fish, but on bait, lures, flies absolutely not even a snag. But for a nice place to pretend your fishing

is first class. Just go to cafe/reseraunt and get a damn good meal, then go buy some excellent frozen fish and go home.

is there still ponds there i drove past about 2 weeks ago and looked like most the ponds had been filled in?

Im heading down to the golden ponds tomorrow with a few mates,

is there any reports recently of anyone getting anything out of the lakes, over the past few weeks?

Any info would be good, I dont want to waste my time heading down there for the day for nothing?
