ANZAC Weekend Fishing Plans?

What's everyone's plans for this weekend?

I know after speeking to Dave(y) last night he's going out tomorrow and, after some serious grovelling (ay Dave? Tongue out), I've been able to accept Dave's very kind invitation to go out on Monday. As Dave mentioned in our telephone calls last night, the forcast looks great (no, I've learned my lesson - no image post of Sea Breeze this time Laughing). Sandra may go along as well. Then Dave will have two people to teach him how to fish Sealed.

Looking forward to seeing and being on the new (other) boat Dave!

I have a fresh supply of new NON OFSET hooks for the troling skirts (Gama and VMC Live Baits). I'm also going to try out some Owner Crane Ovako Swivels for some new paternosta rigs.

Roll on Monday! Tongue out

OH RUSS - Will make sure I take some pics this time! Wink

Had my frolic today with the old farts

Sat, 2009-04-25 19:11

Sherbs couldn't sleep as he had to drop young Andrew off somewhere to join the convoy to Exmouth. He, his brother and I hooked up and headed out to my favourite spot at 4am. Uncle Stu turned up a little later to join in on the fun.

We got serious early looking for something big. It didn't happen. Shortly after daybreak though I (and I mean I) hooked into a school of chopper Tailor. A couple or 3 nice fish and a lot of smaller ones. A lot of fun on lite gear.

Everyone got fish of some description so it was quite busy and a lot of fun.

Now, for the rest of the weekend.... how do I accumulate brownie points?

Cheers, Vince

I SO know your problem Vince Surprised

1) SHE is right - say YES I AGREE to EVERYTHING

2) Agree to go somewhere.

3) EVERYTHING is a GREAT idea.

4) Don't even mention fishing - or even any word that hints at FISH - words to avoid include eFISHent, FISHcal Policy (if talking about the current issues) etc etc.

Tongue out

OK I get the drift

Sun, 2009-04-26 07:56

So, after suggesting moving the fish tank was not such a good idea I now concede it's a very GOOD idea. Now all I need to do is work out how to do it without flooding the house.

I WILL take her to the markets today. I WILL try to show some interest while I am there and not just head to the bar. I may even buy something.

I WILL NOT call in and see the guys at the Tackle Shack after the market experience.

I WILL allow channel surfing today and not plonk myself in front of the TV watching footie and drinking Crownies.

With a bit of luck she will get sick of me and the dog looking sad and bored and send me fishing tomorrow arvo. Wink

Vince mate, you'll have no choice becuase you'll be too busy. I forgot; ALSO, you'll need to wash and dry the dishes, do the laundry, fold and put away the clothes, dust the furniture, vacume the carpets and mop any wet areas/floor boards.

Pretty straight forward and easy ay? Tongue out

Sun, 2009-04-26 11:59

if Bob did anything that you have stated.  Old fart just says to me do you mind if I go fishing (deep) I say ok, then I can sit down and watch a girlie dvd without the back seat driver screaming Oh that is total b$#@#@llsh####t how can you watch that  cr#@!@p, so it is nice and peacefull when he goes fishing deep with son in law.  Works a treat.

You know what?

Sun, 2009-04-26 13:31

Secretly, I think my missus thinks the same way. She just needs to keep me on my toes. I found out yesterday she had bneen chatting on the phone for about 90 mins to my Mother. Also spent an hour talking to her daughter and G'daughter. Luck it's along weekend. I would have to chastize her for not doing the chores.. LOL

i dont agree at all you silly buggers

the secret is you let ur missus buy the boat you chuck in heaps of ideas of how we can both improve the boat better, work together sit on this site together and show her all the wonderfull fish these lucky people have cought, let her go off alone to get her skippers ticket, sit down every sunday arvo and watch the fishing shows together and hey presto she says "lets go feul the boat up and go for a fish "it does not get any better she drives i catch fish and the best part of all is after owning horses for 20 years my cougar lady can put 95 percent of guys to shame when reversing a trailer after doing it with horse floats for so long! we get to the ramp i jump in the boat she reverses it in 1st go every time i start the boat she undoes the chain and winch i reverse up the boat she parks and locks the car and bang we are off.beat that boys thats my 2 bobs worth so if you see a woman expertly reversing a boat down the ramp say hi and tell us where the fish are lol have fun with those words of wisdom and good luck you will need it! cheers joanne and adam

our new  boat advice welcome
