Just not usually on live TV, but whats to old saying, never film with animals, as something usually goes wrong. LOL moment.
Tangling a Pacific gull isnt much fun, especially on light gear, and trying to untangle the nasty bitie is less fun. Happened about 4 yrs ago and did it go balastic. Couldnt just cut the braib as it was wrapped around the bird. A towel over the head and a couple of nasty pecks later it was freed.

Down at denmark over easter there was one caughts just about every 15 Minutes.
+1 for the towel over the head idea, all were released safely.

nothing compared to a stupid staffy bull tierrer that snaffled my mates bait as he was winding in through the surf!
Was a sight to see, one mad dog + one mad fisherman + one mad dog owner all going off Ape-Sh!t
best bit was it was a strong shark rig, so no chance of the staffy breaking free

happend to me ay hillarys but

but on the sea eagle, came down and stole my buffy (i crapped) and the hook pulled and got stuck in the wing and it was flying everywhere with screaming drag. but luckily it was only hooked on 1 feather that pulled out after a while.
