Broome, Fitzroy river + exmouth trip advice please guys
Hey guys leaving on thursday for 2 weeks fishing in broome, the fitzroy river, exmouth and anything in between. Havine been scouring all forums for hints and tips like a mad man. I realise possibly not the greatest time to get a barra, but that'd be the main goal. Other than that 2weeks of no kids, missus, bills and general rat race pretty much feels/looks like ive died and gone to heaven
Taking up a well kitted out 4x4 + 4.2m tinny, have got a good selection of hardbodies( accumulated over years + bought after night & nights of reading) and a big selection of soft plastics, beeen practising my knots so much even my 6 year old can whip out a fair bimini now! Feeling pretty prepared but.......Just wondering if anyone up there or recently returned could throw any tips, pointers, reports and especially advice on what/where NOT to go or do.

Mate if was heading to Broome
Mate if was heading to Broome , I wouldnt be wasting my time on the barra, theres plenty of Sailys, Mackys,Big threadfin and other things that make Broome a great place to fish at this time of year . If the weather hits a warm patch whilst your there you may do ok on the Barra but if the Easteries are strong and its cold overnight you may be better rewarded in the ocean. Barra like the warmer weather .... but then again if you havent caught one, fish hard and you might do ok . Good luck

cheers mate. yeah i know its a bit of pipe dream have been spoilt over the years in kalbarri and shark bay so was looking at the bucket list. was hoping to get further up the coast but time is short. thanks again for the heads up

Okedoke mate. Keep your eyes peeled for a white 07/08 patrol w/racks,winch,etc towing a 4.2m savage tinny. More than happy to have chin wag and relay any info we may have gained by then. Good luck and safe driving.

Fished the fitzroy last week
Telegraph pool was awesome at sunset boofs like hand grenades goin off brother caught a 90 cm barra live baits first choice fizzers and poppers second choice
