Busselton Jetty opening delayed

Who knows when the jetty work will be finished. Work on the jetty was suspended last Friday and it's not known when it will resume after Marine and Civil went into voluntary administration and owe local businesses in excess of $250000. The shire are pushing for 5th Feb 2011 completion to coincide with the Jetty Fiesta, what ever that's gonna be.
Watch this space.

Cheers
Dale

has had more opening dates than John Farnham has had final tours - the contractor is in strife and as for the Shire - what a bunch of bumbling muppets!

At least they have someone to blame now as opposed to the so called "inclement weather" they've blamed delays on previously.

Bit of a shame for Marine & Civil though.

happen Shorty. What they want is to ban fishing from the last 200m just so the divers don't have to worry about discarded fishing equipment, blah blah blah.

not good news at all. there has been so many dramas with that jetty. gotta feel for the local blokes that are owed so much money, as a small business owner myself the money is always tight and im sure some of them would be doing it tough. in reality the jetty should have been finished long ago.

It's a lot bigger

than Busso Jetty. M&C had a hell of a lot of infrastructure invested in Gorgon work on Barrow. Most of their work on that has finished, but there are an awwwwfullll lot of people still waiting to be paid on that project too.

Not good at all. Especially for the small guys (and gals)
