Some restrictions being lifted, that's bloody good news. My youngest boy turns 18 tomorrow and now he can have a few mates over. Poor bugger been studying his ass off and no real outlet socially.
While it is great that some restrictions have been modified, I will continue to do what I have done for the last month or so and hope others do so as well where possible.
As social distancing remains in place, how is all off a sudden okay for kids in school not to do so? I just don't get that.
All the best to your young fella for his 18th Andy, have a great day or as good as can be had.
Anyone know how I can get a Twitty Forrest style travel exemption so I can go fishing up North? Just seen on the news that he has en exemption to travel where ever he likes, appently hes an essential worker. What a load of shit, hes just going around promoting his CCP mates.
As far as permits goes I have a free pass anywhere in wa , but yet i have been stuck in the pilbara for just over 6 weeks now with only 2 day trips to broome . And no bloody boat .
Leeuwin Ramp is the Coronavirus of Boat ramps. What a cluster fuck that place is.
I still loaded the kids and wife in the boat and they drove off the trailer to stay away from the jetty but there were boat loads of people. Proper sausage festival doof doof loaded wank fests.
We headed out looking for salmon and did our best to avoid all of the boats though the conditions were not ideal considering 3/4 of by family couldnt give a toss about fishing, it was short lived. We ended up getting pizza delivered and finding a quieter spot for dinner away from the hundreds of people acting like they hadnt seen sunlight before. Big pleasure boats rafted up 4 at a time and 7m ribs with 6 blokes on it (not 24m2 of deck space)
It was an embarrasing show of disregard to the requirement. I hate that spot and it was good to get a reminder to not go there when the conditions resemble something that could have been good.
Still, i washed my hands after fuelling up and the wife and kids remained contact free with anything outside the car (other than the pizza box).
If the Zero's continue ( 6 days today )…..how much longer is needed. 2 / 3 weeks....if we have Zeros through to end of Month surely that's getting close ?.
Happy to keep the state borders closed until other states are cleared.....need these zone restrictions lifted though.

Only takes a few to do the wrong thing then were fucked again. Better to be cautious for a while yet. To make sure it's gone and won't poke it's ugly head around the corner again
Keep the international borders closed. In WA we should be opening up everything else ... our state borders with consent from neighbouring states.
If we get a positive case in the community then use epidemology to quarantine and contain any spread. If that fails, then worst case, we have the option to go back to where we are now.
As of today, Tuesday 5/5/20 we have had just 7 new cases in the last 17 days and none in the last 6 days. In those 17 days, we have done over 21,000 tests for just 7 new cases. So this evidence suggests it is extremely unlikely in WA that we have asymptomatic people with COVID-19. And we have still only had 17 confirmed cases from unknown sources the entire time (since early March). That is, while the infected and those of high risk are isolated, the probability of getting infected from a public place has been considerably less than 1 in a million.
If we can't get back to normal now with those numbers, then I question when we will ever be able to. For me, this is now becoming ridiculous.
Thing is this is political now as well. The Feds know that's why the federal treasurer is making noises about going back to work. But it's all calculated risk, if there's a blow out here on a state level there'll be hell to pay. I reckon just hold the course for a couple more weeks. There's anouncements coming on the weekend, we be interesting to see where they're at. We've come this far don't want to blow it for lack of patience. And it's hurting me today don't worry I should be sitting in a deck chair at Gnaraloo sipping a coldy by the fire tonight.
Some guy who was asymptomatic working at a meat works factory in Melbourne tested positive on 23 April now 45 people connected to this workplace has Covid. This thing is extremely contagious!
Yeah it's hard. But it would be a whole lot harder if they didn't put these measures in place and there was many lives lost over here as well . In my opinion it's better to be safe than sorry. I'm guessing every small and some not so small will be feeling the pinch but I feel we will come back stronger once it's all over .
Do people actually believe the media propaganda that a Covid-19 vaccine will save them? This Covid-19 is the 7th Coronavirus we now have. We have no vaccines for the first 6 that have been around for years/decades. Even according to the manufacturers of vaccines for influenza, they are just 40-60% effective at reducing your chance of having to seek medical attention. And the flue vaccine they give you may not even match up to the strain that gets you that season.
Please do your own good research about any vaccination before believing the media and government sell job. I regularly find the risks of not having a vaccine are less than the risks associated with the vaccine. These are only my beliefs and opinions from what I have researched. My only advice is please do your own.
Errr the one's undevelopment. If you're an anti vaxxer good for you, I guess you won't be lining up when one is developed. And I was only passing on info that was aired on the radio.
But yeah you're entitled to your views same as me.
I'm not an "anti vaxxer" in terms of the way many take comfort in that dismissive label. I still give approval for my children to have certain vaccinations. Up until last week I would have said yes to a Tetanus shot if I was in ER and a Doc recommended it. But then somebody challenged my "Conspiracy Theory" and "anti vaxxer" beliefs about vaccinations and said what about Tetanus? So I went and did an hours research. End result ... nope I would now choose to not get one of them.
I believe in vaccinations and the science behind them. I just don't trust that those selling us on the vaccinations are presenting the actual risk benefits. And for the record, we no longer use mercury in vaccinations ... because of good research relating to risk benefit analysis (and anti vaxxers). Even the DTP vaccine has been dramatically improved in the last decades to remove some of the immune reactionary stimulants that it contained ... causing very bad side effects.
Again, my only advice is do your own research ... then you may even be prepared to challenge your own beliefs.
That's great if you have the time and inclination to spend a lot of time doing your own research..... I don't. There will always be improvements in the way things are done and made as technology and science evolves. I'm no sheep if that's what you're alluding to, there are some things I'm happy to leave to the proffessionals like the handling of this whole crisis.
You only have to look to America when idiots that believe in god over science, health before wealth start to meddle. But they had no hope from the start with that clown in charge.
Anyway like I said all I did was make a comment of what I'd heard on the radio.
If a vaccine is developed I'm willing to take the shot for one simple reason that if I don't and I catch this Covid it will probably kill me. As a by product it'll help all the objecters who won't with herd immunity.
I hope if you have another read of my posts, you may see I wasn't directing my comments at you. They were more general intended. Where I would say my posts were applicable to you, would be not to believe the media so much. That is, the media intends for us to place a great deal of faith in a Covid-19 vaccine to solve our problems. It was something that you heard on the radio about vaccines that led to your post. Likewise, not all, but many who describe Trump as a clown have simply got that from their limited anti-Trump bias media and social networks.
In any case, I wish you (& everyone) the best possible path to a healthy Covid-19 free future. And while you wait for the media pushed solutions like a vaccine, there are some excellent youtube health videos out there by the likes of Dr Eric Berg DC who shows the benefits of such things as Vitamin D. He backs up his video with very good science.
Best health to you and if good data and evidence eventually shows that if I take a future Covid-19 vaccine, it will in fact reduce your chance of catching it and dying from it, then I will also get the vaccine.
yeah I doubt there will ever be a useful vaccine. they will most likely release one that does nothing, only make people feel protected. Just my opinion.
Dr Eric Berg is not a DR but a chiropractor, someone i'd liken to Pete Evans. Just a celebrity mouthpiece who people actually listen to.
I listened to an interview yesterday with one of Perth's leading imunologists who warned of the implications of injecting vitamin D can cause all sorts of complications if not done correctly. It was in response to Gina Rhinheart's comments to her workforce.
All the articles claimed she said inject vitamin C and drink ginger.
Injections of high dose Vitamin C of 50,000mg-100,000mg has been a go to treatment for the elite and celebrities for a while to combat certain illnesses.
There is plenty of very good evidence from studies of coronavirus patients showing the benefits of Vitamin C, D, Zinc and Hydroxychloroquine. But big Pharma don't like cheap alternatives to their products that they are spending millions lobbying US Congress and the MSM about.
Gilead spent $2.45 million in Q1 2020 on lobbying and now their product Remdesivir is the talk of the town. Their study they use to promote Remdesivir and demonize Hydroxychloroquine was sponsored by Gilead. Dr Eric Berg does a good video on showing the floors of the study.
Meanwhile in a study done April 4 - April 7 of 1,271 physicians from 50 states in the US, 65% said they would choose Hydroxychloroquine to treat their family members.
Remdesivir is about 10 times dearer than Hydroxychloroquine (best results when used with zinc).
All this info is available on the web. Don't just believe me, do your own research.

Apparently it's already mutated, not good news for a vaccine. Our country borders won't be open for a long time if this is correct.

What vaccine?

Not an anti vaxxer

Take Care

Dr Eric Berg is not a DR but
Dr Eric Berg is not a DR but a chiropractor, someone i'd liken to Pete Evans.

Vit C and zinc are good too I heard. Also being fit and healthy is the key. A lot of the Americans that died had obesity.

What Gina Rinehart said
All the articles claimed she said inject vitamin C and drink ginger.
