carp fishing

hi, were are some good carp fishing spots in perth. are there any good spots in the river? what are best times, bait, leader, tide ect. also can you eat them?

Carp
Be right up in the upper reaches if there are any so tides don't matter, have to toss them over your left shoulder onto the bank if you catch them, can't eat them, they are mud eaters, don't know what bait, but I've seen them caught on fly. The Vasse river in Busselton used to have a lot but there has been a trapping program for them down here.

We used to have some pet Koi
We used to have some pet Koi to 60cm and if anything fell in the pond it didn't last long. Their favourite I soon found out was big spiders which fell in and made a commotion on the surface. Would imagine wild carp aren't much different.
