the boys rescued me back in 87 when I broke down on the north side of dolphin island, I had left my boat anchored about 50 meters off shore, swam in to the island and walked across it during the night (wrong should have stayed with the boat) I was on the south coast of the island and could see 4 wheel drives on the main land I was preparing to swim searipple passage when I saw an inflatable dingy come around the point heading toward me.
are you so and so they said, I said yes, the Jodie Holland is towing your boat back to Dampier do you want a lift back to Dampier, it didn't take me more than a micro second to say yes that's a better option than swimming the passage. got back thanked every one, dressing down from the wife and a week later a fat check sent out to dampier sea rescue for their help good on them for being there
My fuel filter had a whole in it the size of a pin head. Over the course of a month or so I had used my boat and had been monitoring my fuel level. Gee I thought my economy was great as the fuel wasnt passing through the receiver before it was dripping out. I ran out of fuel about two miles out from back beach on my way to Dixon island. The boys came out from Dampier and towed me back in. Would have been screwed with out them, Thanks heaps again guys.

Does anyone know where the love of god goes, when the waves turn the minutes to hours?
