A comment made on the post re Rachels Dhui got me to thinking
I've watched many fishing shows (can't get out to do it myself atm) and i see fish after fish brought up from the 'deep' But they never cover the eyes, even though they are goiong to release the fish
Surely fish fro,m the deep are going to suffer being displayed in bright sunlight (and not even being able to breath)
Wouldn't their eyes be permanantly damaged after that bright sunlight, possibly the first ime ever?
Curious

their eyes would adjust the same as ours do. as the fish live in various depths throuought their lives it wouldnt be a prob. covering of the fish's eyes is to calm them down , not to protect them from the sunlight

Deck
Would think dropping them on to a red hot deck and letting them kick about would do more damage
