Long Point 4wd

Wondering if anyone knows how to get right to the point via 4wd which entry point do they take? i had to go through a gate on the weekend which wasnt too keen on getting seen doing that if anyone knows any other ways that may be a little more discret?

4x4 Not Permitted

4x4 is definately not permitted in the area and has not been for sometime. Have heard a rumour that the ranger will simply write your rego down the first time and if he/she sees you again throw the book at you.

Plenty of people still drive in though - everytime a track get's closed down another seems to open.

yeah i know its not permitted

yeah i know its not permitted but was going at my own risk. i got there at 2 am and left at 8 am so wasnt too bad. but that is the same understanding that i had from others.

There were heaps of fresh tracks around that people had been on that same night i saw one other 4wd at the time so must be fairly popular?

just didnt like the fact that i had to open the gate to get in be better if there was some sort of entry else where.

you cant 4wd to the right of the jetty either can you?
