money
Mate fishing is one of the best hobbies a man could ever have, and if you gotta spend a bit of money on it then so be it.
At least your not wasting it on drugs or anything.
You dont have to spend a fortune to be a successfull fisherman either, you can go out and spend 100 bucks on the basics and still catch good fish.
I say just go for it :)
Sex is great, but fishing lasts all day.

one of the beauties of
one of the beauties of fishing is that everyone can do it, no matter what your income is and no matter how poor or rich you are. Unlike other hobbies such as motorcross, or sailing etc, people from all walks of life can go fishing. If your poor, go out and get a handline, pack of prawns and a hook. if your rich, go buy a boat, stellas, saltigas and bag full of jigs. If you want to enjoy the rich life of fishing but cant afford it and thats your excuse of not going fishing, then you are a) not a true fisherman, or b) not passionate enough about fishing :)

It's all the same!
Doesn't matter what your hobby, these days you can throw an endless amount of money at it and still want more.

Shit man I used to catch the bus every weekend when I was a kid to fish the Swan and skin dive at Cottesloe. Money shouldn't be an issue. Catch the bus mate.

And Hopeton is your only chance of fulfilling your desire?
Hitch a ride mate or do what we all did as kids. Fish in a brook or get the old man to take you somewhere. I spend some time fishing Hopetoun and it's no better than anywhere else IMO. The weather can be good bad or extremely indifferent. When it's good it can produce, when it's not it's not a good place to be unless you sit by the fire in the pub. But then again, that costs money.

IN the thesaurus, these are the words that are listed under the term unique - sole, single, exclusive, exceptional, inimitable, distinctive, matchless, irreplaceable and rare. They need to add one NicNat.

as mentioned about the price
as mentioned about the price of fishing you dont need to be rich, just need to spend wisely. if you have to eat 2 min noodles for a week to save the $ for fuel to go fishing you would do it if you were realy keen. god knows how much i have spent over the years on fuel, i dont regret it one bit. the enjoyment of fishing out weighs the $ you spend. used to spend around $180 on fuel every two weeks if not every in the boat and car towing it. never thought about the coin.
basically, if you want to go bad enough, you will do whats needed.

Life is good
I started with nothing, & I still have most of it left! When you finish your bottle of choice, buy some cheep line/ wrap it around that bottle and go fishing.
You have to learn to walk talk and cast off! tight lines

wouldnt complain
atleast you are spending 150 bucks to get somewhere decent and from what ive heard about hopetoun, a good chance of nailing something.
also now adays i treat every fishing trip small or large like a holiday, i try to enjoy everything that comes with fishing not just fishing itself. such as bringing me to new places, enjoying time with my mates and if i catch something its a bonus.
so think of it as a cheap getaway, not just a fishing trip
happy fishing.

I like fishing too but I use my friends fishing gear. and F*ck their gear up cos I dont have any and its fun to watch their face when bring their tackle back in pieces. Some times I borrow it and take it to cash converters.
Beats working for it.
nibble nibble nibble...........
I dont care how much I get for it too cos its fun when they offer you $5 for a Near new Penn 850ssm.
and I say thats fair.
nibble nibble
I often think of getting a job but then I would not have the time to go fishing every day.my dole dont go that far after I buy my beer and smokes.
Sometime when my friend are going away on their trips I say can I come I will fix you up later.
Never do, but it works
............
I dont need counselling just a bigger boat

I'd have a massive collection of lures, if the Finance Minister would just increase my fishing budget a little bit.
