Go a lowrance for $1080 inc aus wide map, Navman are no longer avail and either is Northstar who replaced Navman. Which means service and parts are like hens teeth.
i wouldnt touch a lowrance as there servicing is a joke and there units only last there warranty and then things go wrong and they wont fix them. garmins 551s are a good unit for $850 have australia maps inbuilt in them and it is very easy to use. they have inbuilt antennas. happy huntting.
Old gear has been replaced so looking to offload this gear. Have a Northstar 538 colour plotter, comes with full Australia 2009 Cmap card. Also comes with the external gps antenna. Comes with the manuals for both plotter and antenna power cables. In good condition works well I just wanted something a little bigger. Next is a mono Navman 4432 sounder comes with a 50/200 transducer, comes with all the manuals for both sounder and trancducer and a cd containing instalation and operating manuals. Let me know if your interested. One thing I must mention is that both were in dash mounted and as such I do not have the gimble type mount for either unit. I will get some pics up tonight showing exaclty what is included.
Lowrance did have a bad stage with lack of service and out of warranty service but have now fixed that, a unit out of warranty is now covered under a servce plan for a further 4 years! So thats 6 years of back up For the HDS.
