Make your own Terracotta / clay pipe occy trap, just add some rope, concrete one end and a float or simply place as is in your local weedy snorkel area and check every few days.

These pipes / occy pots best replicate natural octopus habitat as they are heavy so less movement and material is similar to rock therefore will have much higher catch rate than plastic or PVC pipes. Now is best time of year for big octopus! Shortest pipe is 330mm as per photo
