How rough is the paint and what sort i use a really fine car compound on boats I have had works a treat but is only good if the clear is in good nick other wise it can take paint of I could do a 16 ft in about 3 hours and it's heaps cheaper to do it yourself

Im looking to do the same Jc. the areas where i have sanded or rubbed stuff off has lost the polish and is chalky. I've been told that buffer applied with a drill and the fluffy pad on the end makes it shiny again but haven't got around to doing so

$400-$500 for a full detail including cut n polish, i had some spare time so did it myself, took ages, wore out 3 ozito polishers which were returned to bunnings for a full refund once finished

came up pretty nice although not the best polish job in the world, one day i might get a professional job done.

Detailing

Thu, 2012-05-24 14:33

I used Yellow Fin Marine for my polish and the boat looks brand new. Was not the cheapest but the effort the boys put into it was worth every cent. Was very happy with the result and i would recomend them for all boats if you want a really good job.

They did my 26 footer and it was a lot of work for the money spent

Send me PM if you want the details

Cheers
