retreiving boat on sand

i have a 5.5m genesis which i am now regularly beach launching.

i was talking to a mate today about his old trailer, he said he had a  dry retreive trailer or something. he was saying about an extra set of rollers lower then the standard back ones to help get the boat over the metal at the back of the trailer. he said they were on his trailer wen he bought it and didnt know where to get them from.

has anyone heard of anything like this??would certainly make it easier to retreive boat.

thanks

Jess

 Hi mate I have a 7.2 m wave

Hi mate I have a 7.2 m wave blazer and beach launch up north a fair bit, our trailer has the back 4 rollers on a separate swivel bar. Thie bar when dis engaged allows the back rollers to touch the ground and makes retrieval easy in about a foot off water. Unfortunately the trailer came with the boat and not sure where it was done, its a road master if that helps.

Another thing we use if the beach is boggy is a free wheeling hub on the front off the draw bar let the tyre down and you can use a snatch strap and keep the forby on firmer ground.

Hope these help mate Tight Lines
