A mate and i are headin over to the southern most island in a couple weeks, just chasin a bit of info on some lures or placstics that you have had sucsess on for dermersals, and would it be worth a troll for tuna or mackies or still a bit cold i did see it was up to 23 degrees in some spots so was thinkin it was a possibility?

Pirate and octo jigs will

Pirate and octo jigs will cover everything for demersals jig wise, maybe something longer and heavier if you come across sambos and amberjacks. 5 and 6inch Mccarthy Paddletails in the pearl colour and the biggest squidgie wrigglers, I think they are 140mm? 7inch Zman streakz will go nicely aswell, they last longer with charlie courts. Mackies and coral trout loved the maria bullchops when I was up there, dont be afraid to cast into 1ft of water over the reefs for some big trout.

good luck with the sharks

I have done maybe 30 trips, plus worked a few seasons there and I have never seen it so bad as the last trip a fortnight ago.

And we travelled to 3 of the 4 corners of the Sthn Group.

Hopefully just seasonal.

We got hammered as soon as we got there and I shoved the Gopro in the water to film a bronzie swimming past.

When I got the card out a few days back there were at 15 meandering around under us that we hadnt seen.

I usually just use the nitro jigheads. Take some superglue with you if it becomes too much of a problem
