Jigstar Ninja or twisted sister

Sun, 2017-02-19 17:33

You would need a 400 to 500 gram jig rod for there.........The above rods are very good for the money....the twisted sister punches above its weight and is spiral wrapped....price new is very reasonable.....should be an agent in aussie somewhere.....dont go Jm three kings rods.....the first guide is too small and the braid cuts into the foregrip....no probs with the spin version........I did several repairs to mates three kings o/h rods......yet they are rated to high drags......big fuck up with first guide.

I have fished at the three kings/Ranfurly and White island....all primo kingfish/puka and bass spots.

King Jon, Have you had much experience with the JM super torando? Same blank as 3 kings but spiral wrapped.

No...i have never heard of that model.....must be a new model...about time Jm made a spiral wrapped rod or Acid wrapped (probably because the guy was on acid when he designed it!!!) ..no doudting the three kings blanks were nice.

First time i ever saw an acid wrapped rod....I thought wtf? ...someones put those guides on wrong......It is most significant on lighter rods where the rod is more likley to twist under load.....thats why they were designed like that......

I have a mark one jigstar 450(later versions became too stiff) and i love it......the black/silver one..........Caught a lot of good fish on it.

If you want value for money the ninjas are it.......good components too.
