Weather gods finally smiling

Well after weeks of swell it likes finally we get to have a bash. Taking the day off Friday and heading out wide. Little spot where son got smoked the other week is the target placcy's and baits. Hopefully something to report soon. Who else has plans to head out?

Took the Mrs and the kids
Took the Mrs and the kids (2,4,7) out yesterday for the first time since Jan due to weather, work and me wanting to chase demersals. Hillarys was pretty choppy and very murky and I tried my shallow water KG spot for no bites so anchored up behind Wreck Rock after hitting a hezza on the troll, burleyed up and the kids were chucking out unweighted bits of mulie (I thought I grabbed the squid) and pulling in the herring so fast I couldn’t keep up with getting them dehooked and rebaited and the Mrs was having fun on my ultra-light bream setup with a small minnow. Thankfully I remembered that we only had my licence on board before we got to the bag limit not that I got to add to it after my first one to find them!

Well this morning was a dudd
Pike and sharks biting early, small pinks but nothing size and the moment the sun came up nothing......solunar tables say a great day but the fish thought otherwise ...hopefully Friday will be better, the remnants of a southerly slop mixed with a south easterly breeze wasn't the most pleasant either

I was cruising around 400m
I was cruising around 400m from you a couple of times. Lost something decent, probably pinky early trying to move other rods out the way - it spat the hooks. Nothing else do I collected a few sand whiting in 20m inside Carnac Is. Boat still in water so may do another trip out early tomorrow.

Well well
The boss actually said yes to me taking a day off tomorrow for fishing! As long as I bring him some fish!! Was thinking of going for an arvo-evening bash, AFTER work. But now, we'll be on the water early morning and staying out all day, just for fun! Lol
Sorry, no vacancies where I work!
