All bull shit aside what is honestly the biggest Duh fish people have caught/ seen caught?
My PB on a line is only 14kg.
I can remember 20 years ago we caught one off Augusta on a pro boat on a drop line that went 28kg gilled and gutted. I was only about 14 and my old an had a pic on his shed fridge for years but it deteriorated and we couldn't find the negative.
Awesome fish wish it was weighed before being gutted. Anyone elce seen or caught a simalar/bigger.

22 kg...
...New Years Day, 2005. Weighed it on the scales at the fish shop, read 21.5 with the tail lying on the floor. Had just sent $200 to Oxfam for the Boxing Day Tsunami...sometimes you gotta believe in karma! Although I will admit, it was only on bait!

My first ever Dhu, which was caught on a 120lb
hand line in 48mtrs off Dongara, it weighed in 18.5kg...
The closest I have got to this on Rod n Reel is 13kg..
Might have to go back to the Hand Line.. ;-)
I've spent half my life fishing.. The other half I have wasted..

Regular
Regularly got dhueys over 20kg off Naturaliste over 40lbs including some double headers,
The biggest I have actually seen went 21.3kg on Judy's scales in the WA Seafoods depot at Two Rocks, it was bitten off from just in front of its arsehole and was spotted floundering on the surface by son Jeff's crayboat skipper on their way in.
The biggest was in an old pic showing one hanging off the front verandah railing of a house, my guess at its length would put it close to 1.4/5 metres, my first glance I thought it was a mulloway but closer inspection showed it to be a dhuey. Can only imagine what it would have weighed.

my PB 20.Something kg
couple years back , thought it was a ray so asked the deckie to back the boat up , was getting too close to the cray pots and after 15-18 minutes floated to the top , and both our jaws dropped , scooped into the boat and for the next half hour still shaking my head in disbelief,

Not great, very fatty and tough.
After cracking the code a few years back i have pulled at a guess 20 10kg plus with a couple over the meter mark and would be close to the 20kg but after keeping a big girl that was caught in deep water i try to get any 15kg plus models back.
Around 10kg is prime tucka.
