I put a question up on here asking about perch and trout in the hills. One bloke told me the mundaring weir, serpentine, wungong and canning dam hold good fish, although some you are not allowed to fish in.

ive herd there are redfin
ive herd there are redfin perch in serpentine river. These fish are fresh water only add a little salt (brackish) they stuffed.
fyi there is an area on serpentine you can fish all year round but still need licence
