Lucky Tim, wouldnt exactly call them bycatch but have caught one every time in the last three trips as well as my limit of Dhies, got a 4kg and 9kg dhies as well and let another two go all in 2 1/2hrs. The ground i am fishing is not far out and seems to have a lot of bait fish on it over broken coral and caves.
The tub is getting a great workout, with the big motor on the back and selecting flat days I am able to get to some of my fav spots in under 30mins. Just need to fix this overheating problem then the smile will be back on my face totally.

Took my small outfit, great fight over 15mins, didnt give up all the way to the boat.caught on the rod closest to the cod.

are they mainly bycatch when chasing dhuies etc? They're a pain to fillet with the slime but worth it.
