Went out yesterday and out yesterday with a mate to pull the nets and got 20, mostly jennies and took son and grandson out today for 18 mostly big blueys but had to fight tooth and nail with tigers. Ended up with 3 repair jobs while out there, one demolished net and two bitten off....bastards.
had a big tiger tangled up that badly in a crap net and its rope we actually managed to hand line it to the boat after it had towed the boat around for about an hour it was the weekend of the fenacl fishing comp and thought about weighing it in but couldn't think what line class we would be in so we let it go instead
The worst we usually encounter is a small ray sitting in the net. we dont really get shark trouble down south but we are a bit hammered by over fishing at the moment too.
