Yeah nice. I was on a cray

Yeah nice. I was on a cray boat once with a mate just learning what they do when the rope in the winch spat out a snapper sinker and 2 snelled 5/0 hooks. the sinker hit the decky in the throte and the hooks caugh me in the leg! That was fun trying to get them out, thanks to the Moora hospital. The worst thing was it was on the first pull of the day so i had to wait for the ride home. Bluddy fisherman getting snagged on cray pots.lol.

Lure in arm pit!

Wed, 2007-01-17 11:29

I was chasing Redfin in the local swamp on a homemade raft when I was about 13. My mate wound his spinner right up to the tip of his rod, and we proceded to navigate the raft to another patch of reeds, when she run aground, nearly tipped, and in the flurry to re-gain balance: me mates rod tip hit me under the arm, leaving the spinner in my arm pit past the barb – bummer!!
Not a good experience getting it out either.

Lessen learnt, I'll teach my kids to clip their lures to the reel or first eye.

Cheers Jason

Not nice at all, i was spinning for flatties in the swan just landed one, went to cast out again and the treble got caught on my shirt, not knowing i followed through with my cast leaving the lure in my upper arm.  Had to go and get it cut out in freo hospital.  Live and learn.
