Metro Tuna

Metro Tuna

Exactly a week later after getting the Mako we went out again to the same area and started trolling again. Not too long after we started I got another run again. It was quite fast again, but I knew it wasn't quite as heavy or big as the last mako. It still fought real good but there were more circles in its run, eventually I pulled in my first Tuna from Metropolitan waters. Whoohoo this was fishing. We took a few photos then bled it and put it on ice. Then dropped my line out the back again and we started trolling again. Aproximately thirty seconds later I had another real good run and a reasonable fight and 10-15minutes later another Mako shark came on board. A few photos and it was released to grow a bit bigger again.
Nothing else of decent size was caught for the rest of the day but I was happy anyway.
What a way to start my first few fishing trips for the year.

I am used to seeing you on the rocks with a big snapper. Nice fish mate.
