My best dhufish to date on the light gear and 6kg line, 15m of water.

Beautiful fish straight out of the water. Is W.A the only place you can catch these? Pearl Perch on the East Coast look similar, taste great but are gutless fighters and don't grow very big. Good effort on 6kg

Dhuie Adam, especially on the light gear, and looks like it was taken fairly close to shore going by the back ground in the photer...... Sounds like an awesome day out, making me envious....

To answer your question seansurfy, WA is the only place you can catch Dhuies (glaucosoma hebraicum)A close relative to the pearl perch (glaucosoma scapulare) and also taste great, but grows much bigger up to 25-27kg's (never seen a 26 or 27 but!)
Female dhufish reach maturity at 34-38 cm and four to five years of age
Growth slows down after maturity. A Dhufish 65 cm long is over five years old, One dhufish measured at 16 kilos and 107 cm was aged at 19 years old

Great Photo
Nice colours, good composition (and nice fish). Compliments to the photographer! Always frustrating when you catch a great fish and the cameraman doesn't care much for Photos
