That was out of Pt Peron John. Photo looks much better at full size. School wasnt massive had a couple of hookups but dropped them before they went deep. Came across bonito out there too but this school was salmon as one leapt out right next to the boat.
Nah not yet. Tried there on the way in as these were found about 20km offshore. Should be at rotto by now.
Did a few laps of coventry and got my ass absolutely kicked by something. I was trolling with the little penn and rapala jig rod and 30lb braid and got smashed. Think one of the big sambos thats been hanging round there took a liking to my lure. There were some bonito there but it was hard to troll there tonight as a pro has bombed the area with pots.
Was surprised there was noone else out. Only other boat I saw was heading in at maybe 4:00.
