the 399 goes down to 25khz were as the 299 only goes down to 38 khz ,was a flip of a coin as to which one really as there both the same price ,the fcv 295 only goes to 28 khz so i thought i would go with a tranny that i could use the full frequency range , only problem with theses trannys is the beam angle in hf could do with being a bit wider
thats what i thought. i might just get a 3kw 38hz an a 2kw 200 with a good beam angle. its not like you really need the other frequencys. are you running you fh at 200?
ah ok. wher you seeing much of a difference in the 295 to the 585 on hf? i have used both units a lot an found the 585 to show more flair on the bottom. i think thats cause the 295 has the filter an cuts out a bit more of the nioise

was running a 585 with a 200khz aswell so ran the 295 at 198 to avoid interferance
