Pink bream

Pink bream

How's this munted pinkie I caught this morning. The head and tail on it look like they'd belong to a fish around 70cms but this bloke is horizontally challenged and only went 55cms. Marko caught one exactly the same about a month ago, anyone have a reason why they are like this?

Initially I thought that was your lens angle distortion...

Could be just due to normal gene mutation - part of natural selection. If this geno type can survive in the environment- without being disadvantaged and hence eliminated, it will live and past the gene down the next generation and so on. Then this shape of snapper becomes common.

I could be wrong.

it's like girls in highschool, there is always a few that just go BAM and grow a special rack at 14, maybe just an early bloomer?

Uluabuster may have

Uluabuster may have something, if the genetic change keeps them below the minimum length, they will be the breeders .Just kidding.
