Seal out wide

Spotted this fella some 20nm offshore, in glass out conditions. We thought it might be injured, but due to the extreme water clarity (could see my jig some 20m+ down no problems), the great conditions and the sun shining, we figured he was just out for a lazy bask in the sun, head underwater, spotting any tasty morsels from the comfort of the surface.

We saw one out near south west bank once, thought it was injured until it wanted to get inside the boat!

Thats what we thought as well at first, but he was looking around underwater, so he seemed fine, just lazy :p Luckily this one didnt try and climb aboard.
Was it quite calm conditions as well?
