A picture of a few rare and uncommon stickbaits:
Left row (top to bottom): Orion Big Nambas 220g, Craftbait Real Bait 130g in Wahoo and custom colours, Carpenter Gamma 200g
Right row (top to bottom): Craftbait Real Bait 170g, Adhek Long Goby, Orion Big Foot 190, Retired Orion Big Foot 225g after over 30 fish.

Very nice mate, is the Craftbait Real Bait 130g the one that sells for approx $110 ... i think Honsu showed me the same. If so, he just bought 4....bloody earns too much i reckon!

BTW what is the lightest Orion Bigfoot available? Looking to get in to some GT fishing sooon.

Simple - they work so well!
When you look at it closer, it is because they all occupy special niches which make them stand out. You pay for the perfection in action.
I don't mean to sound elitist, but sometimes when fish are fussy - and believe it or not GT's can be frustratingly so - these can make or break it.

That's a hard question to answer - they all have their place. It will vary with depth, wind conditions, sea conditions and expected size of fish. How confusing!

These are obviously for GTs etc
What do you think about smaller stickies like ZipnZiggies and Tango dancers. With the Tango I have caught everything from Queenies, small Trevors and especially Mangrove jacks that just seem to love them. Is there better quality small stickies out there and would you recommend them.

Hi Neels,
I'm not very familiar with smaller stickbaits so I won't pretend to give an opinion on something I don't understand very well. I think the Tango dancer is a good lure, but I don't often use it because I can't cast it - my rods are too stiff. I have caught alot of Salmon on it though!
I can only say that I have alot of Maria stickbaits like the Bull Chop and Miss Carna, and a few from Yozuri and so far I am very happy with them.

Thanks for the info kasey. Might have to get yourself a "bream" stick instead of those GT crushers you have. LOL. By the way, I have just bought a Shim Tcurve Lacunas jig Rod as a beginner. What do you recon about them and where do I go next. Sounds like Xzoga from the forum but I am not convinced.

Come on talk it up Kasey. You make it sound like GT's are some sort of mythical beast with unrivaled intelligence. Not where I go fishing. GT's are dumb, bite anything that moves and ask questions later. I think some people just feel the need to justify having lots of expensive toys

I'm not going to debate whether the price tags on these are justifiable. My intention was just to put up a picture to exhibit some of the more uncommon stickbaits, that's all.
No you certainly don't need these at all to go and get a big fish - but it is only my opinion that they do come in handy at times.

Hey just having a laugh
Hey just having a laugh Kasey, I'm one of the worst offenders.
On a side note, I've been mucking around making silicon moulds of lures lately, and I reckon those Orion lures would be dead easy to make. All you need is some Silicon RTV rubber for the mould and probably Clear Casting resin to make it out of. By the weight of them Clear Casting Resin would probably have similar negative bouyancy. You could knock them out for under $5 a piece easy.
