Caught a bonito the week before last half that size on my 6kg baitcaster and it gave me a hell of a time. Guess you would have been playing that one out for some time, nice fish on the light stuff!

Yeah Jay, prolly start heading up to Balla Balla late Nov/early December. Should have a dinghy by then so it should be good. Last year wasnt too bad, seen heaps caught in Cossack right in front of me, but never managed to catch one myself. Me and me ol mate Norm caught every catfish in Cossack, but no Barra!

Balla balla is a good creek which I don't get up to often enough. We got a few barra in cossack last year but it's not the best creek around, just convenient because it's right on ya back door if ya live in Wickham.
