Just drink 6 more of those Colds and you wouldn't care what they taste like! LOL.
I have had the same with blues. They taste different from some areas. Mandurah crabs are definately different tasting to the blues up here in Karratha. Maybe the muddy just moved from a spot where it was saltier. But then I am no crab expert.
i have had them salty tasting ones and found the flesh was also alot mushier than the normall tasting ones
it may have to do with when they last shed there shell??

Were they cooked in fresh or salty water?If in salty water its possible there was a crack,leak in the shell of the salty one allowing the water to enter.Other than that I can think of no other answer

When a crab sheds its shell and the new one is soft it pumps its body full of water to expand the shell to give it growing room. If you catch a crab in this state it will be full of salty water.
