First time out of Greenhead

Since Goatrutar has cornered the market in fish on the pavers I thought I would go for the fish on plastic outdoor furniture.

Never been out from Greenhead before so probaly headed out past lotsa good ground on the way out to 60+ meters. Found some excellent dropoffs loaded with fish but the current was so strong even when anchored a 24oz sinker would not hold bottom.

First time towing with the new cruiser. All I can say is WOW. 21ft of sharkcat, four blokes in the car, headwind and she still ate it up without raising a sweat. Never dropped below a 100 even uphill and if I needed to overtake just give it a little more pedal and she lept up and arround like the boat wasn't even there. If you cant tell I'm very impressed.

Still managed a few good fish although my personal dhuie drought continues with my mates catching these ones.

Nice catch, but take note that the max speed when towing is 100.

Might need to re-think the plaky table NoHa. The legs are bowing under all that weight.

Looks like a fun day out for the boys

Cruisers are awesome Noha, they're a great towing machine but my petrol model 100s likes the juice when i give it heaps but that's the good thing....you dont need to!

Nice table, nice pavers and a very good catch....well done and all quality!

Have a look here at the offshore paternosta rig. Try that if your drift fishing and you will catch most species your targeting.

Tie it with either dropper loops or 3 way swivels, both will work. I use three way swivels and snell two hooks on each dropper. This allows me to present long pieces of squid or whole sand whiting as bait.

Dhiues have big mouths and bigger appetites and will take the biggest hooks/bait you can find but keep your hook size down a bit and you will catch the smaller species also.

Good luck.
