What Fish is this?

Can any one tell me what species this fish is, and if it's edible, have landed multiple of these around carnac ranging from 15cm through to 30cm

Senator wrasse
Its a male Senator Wrasse . you can eat them but slimey to fillet etc most people chuck em back

Definitely.
Senators look a little different.
Change sex to male when they reach a certain size or if the head honcho from an area is removed.
Big males have the brown spots.

its a wrasse mate you can eat it but very very slimy i normaly throw em back
