Ashburton River Onslow
While in onslow on one of the windy days while sitting around the round table i had an idea to go out too the Ashburton for a look,
so we packed some water
and some fishing gear (the durango) and headed out there.
first stop an old camp spot ive used some years ago on the fresh water end of the river and had a play to see if we could get any catfish for a bit of fun but nothing bitting.

Maxy was using the secret method of fishing but strangely enough never caught anything
what a nice spot but time to move on and head to the mouth of the river
Maxy had this queenie before most of us even got to the water
giving the guys a run for there money with my
durango
Luke finally got a fish (should have used the durango)
nice spot but time to go,shame the miggies were so bad there.
Jody got a nice mangro jack but i dont have a pic and there were a few more fish caught by all but i dont have any pics of them.
just one of the days we had doing some serious fishing

Why would you waste gear and throw it in the water?
Maybe cast a line in might be worth putting there C.M!
But it is pearler of spot to cast a line in.

Bloody hell, I don't deserve that.
I can say it is a good spot though, chuck the light gear in, get a fish for a feed and then go in the water and collect your gear back.

only mixing was the sand flies with my skin!! Stupid idea to go to that river Dennis! You fool.......Another great day bar the bites, had a ball.
We did mix it up which was great fun, but comes with great company. Had a ball with the lot of yous, hope there's a next time real soon.
