first time deep sea

hey went out deep on sunday and fished 643 ft deep and caught alot of reef sharks and some nice ruby snapper to about 8 kg i didnt fish i was chucking up all day then went back to the 200 ft mark and caught heaps of snapper there were 9 people fishing and all caught there limit in two drops and there were also some nice mulloway caught aswell so i think i might stay just to fishing near rotto way to crazy out deep the swell was huge out there

The fads are in 200m along with the derwent!
Its a shit of a wind up!Hence the reason for the ban on electric reels!

Especially with 1.5kg of lead on the end of the line.
If you catch a fish you need a good rest after. (well I do cause im a SC).

umm, teddy, i dont think they would be much fun to catch in a sportfish sense, unless you get off in winding in over 300m of line with alot of weight on it...lol...as for taste they are supposed to be sensational....

lol... 300m is a guestimate,
lol... 300m is a guestimate, if your fishing 200m, then with the drift, and depending on the drift speed, you would have to let out at least 250 onwards on a normal day i think... i have only fished the derwnet which is just over 210 m from memory, its a long long long way down!!!
as for the reel, yep would be nice having that sort of winching power!!! electric reels are the go...just need a doctor certificate to give a reason for having one...mmm, my shoulder is playing up again...heheheh

Did you take one the night before Keen_fisho or just the one in the morning!!
Taking one the night before gets it in your system then take one in the morning for the top up!!
When I was divemastering you would see lots of learners throwing up and it would stuff there whole day!! Get them out the second time with the Kwells as mentioned (even on the roughest days) they would be fine!! Thats if you could talk them into coming out again!!!LOL

Never had any prob with them (sleeping)(sleep walk and talk anyway) when I first started diving!!! After a month or 2 didn't even need them. Even on The Specialist (THE TUB). If anybody was going to be sick it would have been on that boat!!!! EVERYONE that it was suggested too it worked a treat

original 1/2 hour before you hit the water ,it works for us .my wife has tried all other types only this one works

same russ... 99% of the time they work for me too... however, i have recently started feeling a bit queezy again, even though i have taken the tablet.. makes me wonder if i have grow immune to the effect??

we also
nibble on chips or biscuits during the day and always have plenty of water to drink.sometimes my wife starts to feel off colour but comes good after a snack,give it a go if you dont already
