ive found that the colour varies from location to location and the habitat they come from. find the green ones more over weedie bottom and the red ones from the reefie limestone bottom. shot some monster black trout over at the abrolhos few months back biggest went 9kg. heard some one call the oceanic coral trout?? there is also the difference between the bar cheek so on... one things for sure they bloody taste alright!!

two monster trout there!

Seen some monster footballer trout while diving a few months back, awsome sight. Never caught one but.
