Yes Tim lost count, I haven't seen that many leatheries for a while. We would hit the bottom and they were bitting of the sinker leader off as well. I also got nailed by that shark that ate some of your Cod.
Never caught a Ruby, Probabaly need to be deeper and I think there are bigger numbers around in the summer months with the warmer currents bringing them down the coast, I think??
Yes Mat I think the leatheries start to spawn out there this time of year, I remember last october comp were we caught a sack of them from the 90m they were everywhere and full of Roe. I noticed last comp a few big ones starting to show up at the weighin. I think there are good eating leather jackets and Ok ones, these chinamen are OK, the taste reminds me of Skippy, tough Skippy!
Yes Dean all came from the same depth, I still can't understand why Reds and Snapper are in the V5 as they have such a wide depth range, I can understand Dhui's, Black Ass and Baldies as they have a smaller depth range making them easier targets and have smaller school sizes but don't want to start a fresh debate about it-

How many hooks/rigs did you go through Jason?
We went through heaps due to being bitten off almost every drop.

Its all about making it not
Its all about making it not worth the while for the majority of boat fisherman to even bother.I'm suprised it wasn't the V6 and queenies added in!
