towing the boat from coralbay to exxie i reckon an hour and a halfish. pretty sure its about 160 kms and the road is fairly bumpy and not the widest ive seen .but still its sealed so ya want have to many probs just watch oput for emus[shit loads of em] and roos on sunrise and sunset ,theres a fair few about .good luck knothome and have a great trip
always in it just the depth that varies

We had a good trip to coral bay caught some fish we hadnt got before
and had a drink or two as you do.
We didnt fish the first couple of days then the weather was kind for a couple of days,we fish out from the north passage out to 70mtrs but
only caught smallish stuff and i got a wahoo also had a billie of some kind follow the lure in when we were about to call it a day, thought it was going to hit the motor it was that close.
Wind was up for a couple of days so we fished inside the reef for spanglies got a couple to keep but they are hard to catch in shallow water as soon as we hooked one the went streight for the coral and BANG pinged on the sharp coral but had a ball anyway.
IN the last few days we fished 100 -110 mtrs and got a good mixed bag
even pink snapper (thought they stopped at canarvon)so we got some fish to bring home and had some nice feeds up there.
The only trouble on the way home we snapped a u-bolt just out of gero
which made a mess of the gard,but we got some new ones and were on our way again.

We booked again for next year 10th-24th may,should be easier to launch with the new ramp by then.

Post some pics of the Pinkies from Pt Sambo(?), im interested to see mate.
Best mate caught a bloody ripper off Onslow this time last year. I reckon it would have gone close to 8-10Kg. He rekon it pulled like a nor west blowie(buck all!), and im not tellin a lie! Obviously it tasted awes.
Would be interested to see how you reckoned they fight? And any pics of the sizage.

We have been considering sharing the house with 2 people
to keep the cost down,as 2 weeks off work no pay+$1000 per
week rent+fuel up and back and running the boat most days
at there prices starts to cost $$$ for 2 weeks.
So if anybody has been thinking off going up there and cant
get anywere to stay pm me and we can see if it will work out.

does the "resort" look like now Dennis? Is there still that little watering hole with , If I remember correctly, happy hour on Thursday arvos? Is there still a nice bit of lawn and that pool there. Gotta get back there for a visit. Did you go snorkelling in the shallows at Mauds Bay there infront of the town? Some pretty awsome looking fish and coral there hey.. MAXY

yer max happy hour fri and tue i think it was not that we needed to go there but we did, some nice scenery there.
yer did some snorkelling near the boats and out near the reef,had a few 4-5ft sharks come around out there.
next time should be better i hope now we know a few things for up there.

was more to look at on the beach,thos uros love to sun bake with there tops off
