When I last went there about 11 years ago i managed one from shore from around the point on a floating mulie. Good size. BUT they know not to go around there too much like the pinkies. There were some honkers that you could feed with the glass bottom boat they have/had there. YES pinkies, no shit. MAXY

Last time we went we got about 10 hookups in an hour and a half session just outside the sanctuary zone. Struggled to stop them on 30lb... kept getting me on the buoys.. hook up and lock up! Did manage to land 3 stoinker Spanglies though. Great fun :)

We fished on the high tide, waded out to the drop off and casted from there. Best action was just on dusk. Fresh whiting bait we caught at mauds did the damage.

funny that you can get the on 4kg in some spots... but not on 50lb at other spots.... goes to show, that softly softly approach works sometimes....really nice pic too dennis...

pe5 is a line class of braided lines used by the japs dennis... pe5 generally indicates a breaking strain of 50+ pounds breaking strain...pe stands for poly-ethalene ( spelling??) lines
