The rig develops too much line twist with the paddle tails, so I am in the midst of trying a variation. I am still confident something like this will work once I iron out the issues of line twist.
I always use swivels for exactly that reason. Increasing your line length to the hook to 50cm also increases your hookup rates considerably I reckon. . . No Orange Hats Allowed
