These things are unbelievable. You'll be on the plain doing about 40 - 45 Klm/Hr, they'll come up along side you so you can see them, then they'll shoot off like you're standing sitll. (Ferrari's of the sea)

TE 400
It's a Shimano TE 400. Ive put a power handle on it sourced from the states. Had to file it out a little, not to much of a drama though. Awesome drag. Bit of an overkill for this little fella. Handled the spanyard I caught earlier with ease.

Just wondering if you ate it. Heard about them in the swan river...book called them giant herring...they dont even look like herring:P

Different species between the wolf herring and the giant herring. Say they would be very bony.

Fish cakes
Nah mate, quick photo and back in the drink. The other guy I was fishing with said you can mince them up into fish cakes though.
