I'll never know.....something hit the jig at the just off the bottom in 50m....ran along the bottom to the edge of a 300m dropoff.....went straight down and busted me off taking 100m of 50lb braid with it............put a new twist on my day.....got a bigger gun now

I had an experience out from Rotto one day when a mate got f@cking smashed by a monster and lost 300m of braid in no less than 60secs.
I lost the plot and couldn't get the vid out of the bag quick enough!
He had blisters on his thumbs for weeks!

I had an experience once at Devils Gorge (LBG east Coast Style) 3 of us dropped frigate mackeral pinned on 24k into the drink inside of 2 mins 2 got spooled one decided to lock up when he saw what happened to us , he ripped so much skin off his bum and legs getting dragged across the rocks, jumbo fin in the 75-100 class feeding like sambo's . awesome

Some people hate getting busted up but i quite like it!........lets you know that fishing is still fishing and makes you think about what you could have done better, what you might have done wrong and makes for a better fisherman. Ive been done many times before as has everyone but all mine were 35kg plus dhuies so i dont mind to much ;) I WISH!lol.
