Heartland

I've got a 7ft heartland z that's been a great rod matched to a 2000 sol. Good for working little plastics right through to small stickbaits for salmon.

Hmm....imo the GL2 series

Hmm....imo the GL2 series are not worth the price. If you would to go for a G.Loomis, I'd go for GL3 atleast, the dropshot series in IMX or GL3 are pretty good rod. I'd say go Daiwa and get yourself a Saltist Extreme Short Bite......6'10" 6-10lb, very light tip.....its my goto SQUID rod....lol.

Oh sorry you're after a BREAM rod.
Plenty to choose from, Shimano T-Curve Flight with REC guides, Strudwick Softbodz.....etc etc

i had a GL2 d/shot (sold to spess recently), that was a awesome rod for bream, grunty base and light tip for throw small/unweighted softies/vibes etc etc. i dont really bream fish anymore...but im getting a custom hastings PUR-66L made up (with recs) atm. (or theres the 70L model)
these are a awesome blank and light as a feather.
if u want to spend $300ish hoju, then yeh u would go for an IMX or GL3 graphite (if u go loomis) as u will get better guides (sics/recoils/alconites) and a more sensitive graphite which is good for bream fishing as u probs already know!
theres always the team daiwa series of rods to look at, but yeh as honsu said the tcurve light spins or flight series are wicked lil bream sticks

cheers

Custom

Ever thought of a custom rod , wouldn't cost much more than 300 for a custom depending on blank and fittings , I have 7 custom rods and they are better than any rod off the rack for the same $$$$

there is a thread on here with a good bloke that does custom jobs , you can get the bindings etc in any colour you choose it's great picking out exactly what you want , check out mudhole for a cheap good blank and get him to build it up for you.

i managed to get a bargain blank and kit from mudhole.com.... a loomis IMX landed for about 220AUD.. saved about 300 as i built it myself but u could spend some coin getting it built and it'd still be cheap

Hoju, Are you after a rod

Hoju,
Are you after a rod specifically for either plastics or hard body lures or more of an all rounder?
