Crabeater

Tue, 2008-01-01 23:01

Nice little crabeater/black kingfish there Dennis.

The smaller ones are usually pretty good on the chew, not unlike spaniard in some ways but with a slightly stronger taste.

Dennis did it give a good fight??
I caught one about the same size at steep point and it came in like a sack of spuds.

Nice

Nice cobes there Dennis. Theyre a bit of a tough one when it comes to eating quality. I've had some really good ones that tasted like steak and had some which were like soggy potato.

I release any cobia that I catch from now on. Mainly because there are so many other tasty morsels to choose from. :)

Dennis, Cobia has to be

Fri, 2008-08-29 09:56

Dennis, Cobia has to be cooked in a stir fry.  If you have eatten stirfry dishes with fish in Asia, eg noodles etc....  it is cobia.
