Thanks VN6DI

Taking the big boat (racing yacht) down river to fremantle today for our winter campaign today. Just got through the bridges and the motor decided that after two hours of motoring, it had enough.

19m yacht with a 20m mast, weighing 10t thankfully has a bit of momentum and thankfully with an outgoing tide we were able to drift away from the bridges....until the wind started to turn us around. When a passing boat started towing us, we were 1.5m away from mating with a ferry.

After a few moments and an anxious conversation, Freo sea rescue came out and towed us around to fremantle sailing club.

Plenty of fuel so fkd if we know what went wrong, though 8 knots of breeze made it an ideal day as 25 knots of Seabreeze would have had a different result.

Thanks to VN6DI.
