Killer fish mate, looks like you get onto some great Barra action. Wherever we find Barra over here (east coast) the crocs are always pretty close by. Are there no crocs where you are or was that just a moment of insanity?

yeah mate we are just starting to see or hear of a croc siting every now and then... if u look in my gallery the pics of that croc was from the night before bout 800m upstream of this spot... 8-10 footer.... but man i was buzzin from adrenaline so wasnt too fazed haha :)

800gram Yellowfin
live bait mate....was super hard to get too... managed a handful of big mullet that the majority of our runs came from and some real big yellowfin whiting... thats wat this baby took.. a horrrse whiting which i coulda filleted for feed but nah bait hahaha

yeh mate they are good liveys.... anything alive and swimming will catch a hungry barra.... caught them on small bream and trevally aswell on hard days...

Haha, yeah I can relate to the adrenaline bringing on insanity. I did a similar thing last year with a 98cm fish in a croc infested creek in the Gulf. Just thinking about it gives me the shivers now though. One of my mates ended up in the news a few months earlier after getting mouthed by a croc near Thursday Island. It changed his life, but didn't stop me from trying to get eaten!
