So thats what it is. I was going to ask you what it was, never caught one before.Im pretty sure thats what bouttime thought it was to. Photo was taken when I got home and bouttime had already taken a snapper and a mullaway home with him so in all was a good haul.
Great day out. Having the mullaway for tea tonight.
Now i know for sure its a breaksea any chance of bringing it over. Been told there a good feed. LOL, hope you enjoy the feed.
Yep, rate the breaksea (blackass) as one of the best eating you get in the metro. Top tucker. Good to see you finally broke your metro curse Tapout, enough fish to make up for the unlucky trips. I don't really rate the big skippy as eaters though, good fighters but prob worth releasing. Let us know what you think of them when you have a chew. Can't believe I couldn't go, got the day off after 8.30am too, so devastated. Glad you guys did well regardless thou.
awesome capture guys! mulloway is a nice way to top that bag off. i gotta find someone to take me out and get some deep sea mulloway sometime wink wink nudge nudge :P
Yeah Ive always wondered why people dont like skippy. Ive always thought they were a really nice fish to eat.Had some for dinner tonight and loved it.The wife says its one of the nicest fish shes had. Must have different taste buds because theres not to many fish that really do much for me. Skippy just seems to have a nice taste on its own.
Had one for dinner tonight. Great feed. Have a mate who rates skippy also. Must be an aquired taste.
Shizz, will see how we go might be able to get you on the boat in the coming weeks. Will let you know. Always happy to take guys out for a fish.
I like the smaller inshore skippy upto 2kg for the table. Just found the bigger skippy out there weren't as good, but then again it could have been the one that we kept. Last year it was epic getting tripple hookups of those big skippy, they went hard biiiiig time released most of them thou and just kept the pinkies. Might have to keep a few more this year and see how they turn out.
