17kg dhufish

Went fishing at two rocks on saturday with me mate Ross , we released 2 small dhufish got 2 3.5kg baldies and a 17kg dhufish ( very happy ) we where in 50mt the sea was all over the place , light breeze and strong currents , after the dhuey the sharks hammered us and we slowly headed home , expected bit more action but the fish we got made up for it , tried softies the pickers hammered them and the jigs got no takers but the live bait was active ,looking for a 20kg+ now any ideas ?

From what i can see looks like a big fish. Well done, what jig did the damage? Did you find the dhue smashed it when it was at least 10mts from the bottom or whilst it was right on the bottom?? Well done again

Good luck on your 20kg fish, I've been aboard a boat off Dawesville when a 20 and 18 have been landed in a day, there was only 3 of us onboard but I didn't catch either.

Funny you mention the sharks, as the last 2 weekends in a row we've had at least one run in with a decent shark both days, never normally see or get any grief from them.

Agree. Top fish.

I've spent a couple of days up around Two Rocks about this time of year and got smashed by small sharks all day long.
