1st ever snapper, and from the jetski!
Submitted by beau on Tue, 2010-09-14 12:21
Me and my mate Ben (goatlobster) headed out into the sound on my ski and caught these puppies. We both caught one and lost one within 45mins of dropping a line. The fish were a first for us both, and probly our best captures ever, considering the jetski, shallow water, and awesome weather conditions. Fish went 81 and 82cm, but the 82cm fish was nearly a kilo heavier.
* Thanks to JR JETSKI who has helped with advive for fishing off the ski*

not sure on the exact
not sure on the exact statistics adam, but we gave it a good thrashing and quite alot of skiing behind it on australia day for 6-7hrs and still had a qtr of a tank left when we finished. Fishing in cockburn sound for around 5 hours including trolling, drifting and moving spots i wouldnt use a qtr of a tank. 70L tank. Yamaha FX HO 2008 was the most economical ski on the market when it was released. My first ever jetski and i love it to bits! Put 75hrs on it in about 8 months hehe

Good stuff mate, Proud of you, Record JetSki Snapper
You are first one I know of in WA that has caught a snapper that size of the Jet Ski. Guess you hold the records for that one. Congrats.
Dit you notice that we have a JetSki Fishing Forum page on the web site here. You guys must also post your pictures in the JetSki Fishing Forum section then the other JetSki Fisho's can see them as well. Undre the forum page ther is also some advise as to how to look after your ski, safety tips etc etc. If you have any experiences to share with us please do. We can all learn from each other.
We also use the forum page to arrange fishing trips so keep and eye out and join us when we go out. Also if you guys want some JetSki fishing company, just post when and where you will be heading out to and we will join you.
Great work on that snapper,
All the best
